Job description:

Penrose Criminal Justice Services are looking for someone with a passion for supporting ex-offenders into training and employment, thereby contributing to positive resettlement outcomes and a reduction in reoffending.

We are recruiting for the post of floating Education Training and Employment Specialist Resettlement Worker (ETE SRW) in London. This role will be integral to our CJS custodial and community services, helping our service users’ reintegration back into the community.

Working in partnership with the London Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC), our service supports adult males who are sentenced to a custodial order to resettle into the community and to break the cycle of reoffending. We provide guidance and support with a wide range of issues, from accommodation to training to financial advice, signposting our clients to relevant services in their area, as well as supporting them with any referral processes. We engage with agencies both within the CRC and across London, tailoring a package of support to best meet each individual’s needs. Our Specialist resettlement workers are trained in risk management, motivational interviewing and with a set of ongoing trainings that will be catered around the role being carried out.

We are looking for a talented and passionate individual who will lead our employability support services, including the building and maintaining our network of employers and organising our signature Job Fairs in prison and community settings.

The role will be based from our head office in Islington but will have presence on our custodial and community locations where you will be the representative for Penrose Criminal Justice Services. You will also meet with your wider Penrose team in full Penrose custodial Team meetings on a six weekly basis. All staff receive a holistic training package and Penrose is committed to continual professional development through additional training, supervisions and appraisals.
