Job description:

The purpose of the role:

To manage the Drug & Alcohol Outreach Team as part of the Pavilions treatment partnership as well as line managing the Trailblazer Homeless Prevention Worker, who is embedded within the team. Giving day to day line management direction and support to staff and being the main Equinox representative within the Pavilions partnership.

 

Main Responsibilities:

Oversee the running and development of the Drug & Alcohol Outreach Team and Stanley Rd in conjunction with partner agencies and ensuring all Equinox and SIG processes and policies are adhered to.

To develop a close network of communication, co-operation, joint projects and skills exchange with other agencies in the Pavilions partnership and in the community, ensuring that work with other agencies is coordinated and appropriate.

Provide effective support and (non clinical) supervision to the staff team to ensure that performance standards are fully implemented, outcomes achieved and the work is coordinated – To also carry a small caseload of clients as part of supporting the wider team.

Develop a method of sharing learning with local commissioners as well as across a wide range of media and best practice events.

Ensure effective means of monitoring outcomes, case records and produce monitoring and evaluation reports

To explore potential solutions, new models and ways of working to meet the needs of Brighton’s substance using clients.

 

Equinox Drug & Alcohol Outreach Team:

The team is primarily an outreach team that seeks to address the needs of homeless clients in the city who have substance use support needs. The team functions as a complex needs specialist team working with some of the most complex clients presenting in the city and are leaders in coordinating multi agency approaches to addressing client need. The teams practice is one of assertive and psychologically informed outreach.
