Job description:

Penrose Criminal Justice Services are recruiting for the post of Community Responsible Officer across London, with a particular focus on recruiting for positions in West and South London.

Working in partnership with the London Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC) and MTCNovo, our service supports adult males sentenced to less than 12 months, to resettle into the community and to break the cycle of reoffending. We provide guidance and support with a wide range of issues, from accommodation, to training, to financial advice, signposting our clients to relevant services in their area, as well as supporting them with any referral processes. We engage with agencies both within the CRC and across London, tailoring a package of support to best meet each individual’s needs. CROs are trained in risk management and de-escalation and are also required to initiate enforcement proceedings when necessary.

We are looking for motivated staff who want to deliver services differently, and develop new skills in the process. The role will be based predominantly in designated CRC offices, where you will be the representative for Penrose Criminal Justice Services. However, you will also meet with your Team Coordinator and local Penrose team fortnightly, as well as attending full Penrose CJS Community Team meetings on a six weekly basis. All CROs receive a holistic training package before they are able to manage a caseload of service users, and Penrose is committed to continual professional development through additional training, supervisions and appraisals.

Why work with us?

•Excellent core and on-going training aligned with personal development plan
•25 days annual leave (increasing 1 day per year of service up to 30 days)
•Pension, Eye-care Vouchers
•Growing and forward-thinking organisation

If you wish to work with this challenging yet rewarding client group then this could be a perfect opportunity for you, please send a completed application form to recruitment@socialinterestgroup.org.uk by the closing date.

All successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhances DBS and provide employment references covering 5 years period including one from your most recent employer. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the issues relating to equal opportunities in service delivery and provision and to actively promote ways of eradicating racism, sexism, and other forms of negative discrimination though the group’s policies and procedures.

The deadline for completed applications is Wednesday 27th February 2019, with interviews to be held week commencing Monday 4th March 2019.

Closing date: 27/02/2019
