Equinox Aspinden Wood is a CQC registered service that provides long-term 24 hour care and support to men and women with a history of alcohol dependence, mental ill health and homelessness.

The centre supports people who have been drinking for many years and while service users can continue to drink when they live at Aspinden Wood we work with them to find ways to reduce the harm caused by their drinking.  Many of our service users have chronic health problems and we provide a full personal care service to cope with this.  While at the service we offer service users many options for them to improve their quality of life and wellbeing.  This includes assistance to reconnect with their families, engage with the local community and working with them to give them back their dignity and self confidence.


Purpose of Role

To be the point of contact for advice, guidance and support on all aspects of the Aspinden Wood Centre contract and referral process to achieve appropriate and safe placement of patients.


Main Responsibility

Support the contracts, performance, finance and logistical referral process for the Aspinden Wood Centre, to assist in ensuring occupancy and performance targets are reached and the demands of stakeholders are met.

Maintain comprehensive accurate record of funding arrangements for service users with commissioners – local authorities and others. This will include communicating with relevant parties both internal and external, preparing formal paperwork, debt collecting and updating databases.

Collate and produce operational monitoring reports, as agreed at service level including returns and the maintenance of agreed databases.

Provide a high quality administrative service including pre-admission contact, invoicing, petty cash, routine administration and liaison with Housing Association

Support management in relationships with care managers, referrers and those relevant to the provision of care for our service users

Contribute to the achievement of excellent outcomes as defined by CQC for all aspects of service delivery including service user involvement

Provide reception cover within the duty office ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with efficiently and politely

Promote a positive image of Equinox and Social Interest Group within the general public, voluntary an statutory organisations

Maintain volunteer data base and complete pre-employment checks for new volunteers as defined by CQC
