Work
Employment is a key factor in helping people not to re-offend. Some of the people we help need extra support to stay employed and stay out of prison.We help people find work by:
- Identifying their skills and interests and building skills banks
- Focusing on pre-vocational opportunities to make sure people are able to work and stay in a job
- Providing training to help people disclose with confidence
- Training the people we help to help others, through peer mentoring, teaching and volunteering
- Promoting work opportunities internally
- Providing training in confidence building, CV writing and interview skills
Penrose offers choice. The other guys in my house spend a lot of time in their room. I wish they could have a service from Penrose - they get us out and give us something to do.
