Private Residential Services
Private Accommodation Sourcing Scheme (PASS)
Penrose’s Private Accommodation Sourcing Scheme (PASS) aims to improve the access to move-on accommodation in the Private Rental Sector across London for our Service Users that are ready for reintegration and independent living. The programme is part-funded by charity Crisis through the Department of Communities and Local Government; .
Those benefiting from the scheme will have been Penrose clients for a minimum of 6 months and will be classed as “hard to place” due to previous anti-social behaviour and chaotic lifestyles.
Service Users of Penrose can find their own move on accommodation and we will help negotiate the tenure, and negotiate the Bond or pay the deposit dependent on the individual personal circumstances. We are also increasing the number of private landlords who want to rent to our service users and can offer move on accommodation.
As an incentive for Private Landlords we will carry out painting and decorating and reasonable repairs to the property if they rent to one of our Service Users.
As part of PASS scheme, clients attend Penrose’s tenancy sustainment course before taking up their new tenancy and clients and landlords receive up to 6 months tenancy support to ensure any issues are resolved. This includes relapse prevention and debt management to prevent tenancy abandonment.
