Criminal Justice Service Community Responsible Officer

Department: Criminal Justice Service
Work Location: Wembley
Salary: £22,865 increasing to £25,500 after one year of service
Contract: permanent
Hours per week: 37.5
Job description:

Penrose Criminal Justice Services are recruiting for a Community Responsible Officer posts for East London.

Working in partnership with the London Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC) and MTCNovo, our service supports adult males sentenced to 12 months or less to resettle into the community and to break the cycle of reoffending. We provide guidance and support with a wide range of issues, from accommodation to training to financial advice, signposting our clients to relevant services in their area, as well as supporting them with any referral processes. We engage with agencies both within the CRC and across London, tailoring a package of support to best meet each individual’s needs. CROs are trained in risk management and de-escalation and can also initiate enforcement proceedings when necessary.

We are looking for motivated staff who want to want to deliver services differently, and develop new skills in the process. Our Community Resettlement Hub provides a platform to deliver a wide range of innovative interventions and services that offer something in addition to the traditional one-to-one appointment model. As well as seeing clients in their designated CRC offices, Community Responsible Officers support the delivery of effective interventions at the Hub and will receive training in facilitating groups.

The role will be based predominantly in the designated CRC office in East London, with occasional travel to the Penrose Community Rehabilitation Hub in Wembley. All CROs receive a holistic training package before they are able to manage a caseload of clients, and Penrose is committed to continual professional development through additional training, supervisions and appraisals.

The deadline for completed applications is Friday 23rd March with interviews to be held on Wednesday 4th April 2018.

Closing date: 23/03/2018
