New Managing Director appointed at Penrose

The Group Chief Executive for the Social Interest Group (SIG), Gill Arukpe, today announced the appointment of Andrew Miller as Managing Director of Penrose, of which SIG is the parent company.

For the past 3 years Antony has been the Director of Operations for Penrose, leading on  the delivery of social care and recovery services for people who have multiple needs ranging from forensic mental health, personality disorders,  people affected by homelessness and those who are being sexually exploited.  In the past 12 months we have supported over 2,000 people across London and the South East through our residential, community based and floating support services.

Antony has a strong commercial foundation built on an excellent track record of delivering Health and Social care services, on government Welfare-to-Work contracts, within a PBR (payment by results) framework. Antony is a dynamic leader and entrepreneurial  provider of social and health care services, with a 15 year plus record of achievement and success.  He offers a keen business perspective within a changing economic and commissioning landscape, where his tenacity and change management skills support growth and service user integration.

Gill Arukpe said “Antony has been instrumental in the growth and development of our Penrose services and I am delighted that we can retain him within the charity at Managing Director level.  We feel that by having a dedicated MD for Penrose we will have clear leadership, accountability and ownership to be able to develop and strengthen the charity within our Group structure.

Antony Miller said “I am driven by the belief that everyone deserves a chance at a positive life and I am so proud that we offer a safe place for individuals to rebuild their lives, get well and remain healthy.  I am looking forward to addressing the many challenges that lie ahead and the continued growth of our services across the UK”.
